Specialty Spice Grinder Design Project

Key Responsibilities:

Concept design and 3D modeling of the grinder/blender (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 preferred)

Blade and chamber design optimized for spice texture and micron size output

Selection of suitable motor (1–2 kW range) and drive system for dry spice grinding

Structural design for compact size (target: 1 kg spice capacity)

Material selection for food-grade contact surfaces (SS304 or equivalent)

Thermal and vibration analysis for continuous operation

Preparation of manufacturing drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials)

Prototype supervision or fabrication support (if feasible remotely or locally)

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering

Proven experience in small appliance design, grinder/blender systems, or food processing equipment

Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or CATIA)

Knowledge of motors, bearings, vibration systems, and powder handling

Understanding of food safety and hygiene design principles

Ability to provide detailed mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
