There is a .cae file (will be sharing with you) that needs some simple and basic changes along with a ppt that just needs to demonstrate and come in line with all the changes made.

Use symmetry to reduce the size of the model and make it easier to impose boundary conditions. You only need to model a quarter of the structure. Mesh grading: use smaller elements in the interference region of the shaft
and also around the large hole in the base. Use mesh biasing on edges to gradually decrease element size towards the hole.
