Sample changer for small vials
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I am looking to develop a sample changer mechanism. At least a few hundred samples should be loaded into the device, then the system puts them one by one into the measurement chamber, controlled by software. I have the necessary detectors and electronics, what I’m looking for here is the sample changer mechanics and possibly housing.
The samples are plastic vials of 27 mm diameter and 67 mm height, filled with 20 ml of liquid.
The detectors are two cylinders of approx. 50 mm diameter, positioned face to face. The sample is placed between these. They are light sensitive, so the chamber must be totally light tight.
For the stepper motors I was thinking of using a TMCM-3110-TMCL stepper driver and corresponding stepper motors, as I used them already in another system and know how to program them. But I’m open to suggestions.
This link shows a similar device.
