Pressure Vessel Design & Analysis
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I'm seeking a skilled engineer with extensive experience in pressure vessel design and analysis using PVElite. The scope of the project includes:
- Reviewing equipment data sheets and both 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.
- Clarifying any doubts with me before starting the modeling process.
- Using PVElite to perform calculations according to ASME VIII Div. 1, considering external loads, thicknesses, reinforcements, and material requirements.
- Generating a comprehensive calculation report.
In addition to the design and calculations, I need:
- Verification of connections using WRC 107/WRC 537 to evaluate stresses on nozzles.
- If necessary, the complementing of the analysis with finite element analysis (FEA) in Ansys/Abaqus to assess stresses in the connection area and ensure compliance with the applicable code.
Finally, I will require thorough documentation including:
- A calculation report for the pressure vessel.
- A verification report of nozzles using WRC 107 and/or finite element analysis.
- Conclusions and recommendations if reinforcements or modifications are required.
The pressure vessel will be constructed from carbon steel. Therefore, experience working with this material is essential.
