I need an assessment for a full engine service or partial rebuild of a Perkins engine. The engine has not been run for 8 years, and I do not have any maintenance records or history available.
Key Requirements:
- Evaluate the current state of the engine, which has not been operational for a significant period.
- Provide recommendations for either a full service or a partial rebuild based on the assessment.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience with Perkins engines, particularly in diagnosing and servicing engines that have been inactive for long periods.
- Ability to work without prior maintenance records, using expertise to identify potential issues.
- Knowledge of common engine problems such as overheating, unusual noises, and loss of power, even though these specific issues have not been reported. Engine also requires a rewire.
