Mechanical engineer for one

I’m looking to build a retractable charging cord mechanism that is small and compact. I would buy one online but they are all surrounded by a casing which makes them bulky. I’m interested in just the mechanical parts of the build. I will post a photo of a very similar mechanism I am looking for.
