Mechanical design explanation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am making a machine design assignment for an automatic bottle capping machine. I want help in some steps of the project.
The specific help is to how to design the same as this design: https://youtu.be/3nv2wRo6dEY
Specifically, I need someone who has knowledge and expertise in a Machine Design, Statics & Dynamics, and Strength of Materials. I have detailed specifications that need to be understood and implemented.
I want you to explain to me what calculations, formulas, and actuators needed to perform the same mechanism.
It is an automatic bottle capping machine. To summarize, My design is:
1st step: The bottles will move through the conveyor belt. (it is already filled and the cap is above the bottle)
2nd step: The bottles enter a rotational indexing mechanism and through on of steps a DC motor will tighten the caps.
3rd step: After capping, the bottles will continue to move in the conveyor belt.
4th step: At the end of the conveyor belt, the bottles will get in an incline plane and fall into a container.
And I have an idea to make the 2nd & 3rd step through the idea of the youtube link.
The project doesn't allow using PLCs or any sensors.
The project does not require a highly complex design, just something of simple complexity.
