Mechanical Engineer for Trailer Design & Fabrication

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design a flatbed trailer and tanker trailer including full 3D CAD models and fabrication blueprints.

This is for a real manufacturing project, so only candidates with relevant experience in vehicle structures, trailers, or heavy steel fabrication should apply.

Responsibilities:

Designing a flatbed trailer chassis 40 – 80 ton capacity
Designing a water tanker trailer structure
Preparing complete 3D CAD models using:
SolidWorks (preferred) or equivalent
Creating 2D fabrication drawings (blueprints)
Preparing Bill of Materials (BOM)
Providing basic structural considerations (load distribution, safety)

Deliverables:
3D CAD files (STEP / SLDPRT / SLDASM)
2D fabrication drawings (PDF + DWG)
CATIA V5
Welding and assembly drawings
BOM (material list)
Basic design explanation

Requirements:
Proven experience in trailer / chassis / heavy structure design
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar)
Understanding of steel fabrication and welding
Ability to design for real-world manufacturing
