MRL Home-Lift Design Package
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a seasoned mechanical design engineer to create the complete mechanical package for a machine-room-less (MRL) home-lift destined for residential villas. The scope is comprehensive:
• Develop a detailed 3D model of the entire lift system, covering car, guide rails, drive components, and a self-supporting shaft framework that can be built in either aluminium or steel.
• Produce fully annotated 2D manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and GD&T for every custom part as well as assembly drawings suitable for shop floor use.
• Generate a structured bill of materials with part numbers, material specs, and vendor hints.
• Verify compliance with a standard equivalent to EN81-41, including key calculations, safety factors, and any required finite-element checks.
• Respect the confirmed size constraints; the lift must fit within typical villa shafts while maximizing cabin space. If you see opportunities to optimise weight capacity or integrate additional safety features, highlight them as options.
Preferred toolsets are SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor, backed by professional drafting standards. Deliverables will be native CAD files, STEP exchange files, PDF drawing packs, and the BOM in Excel.
I will provide preliminary dimensional envelopes and aesthetic references once we start. Please outline your relevant elevator or lifting-system experience, the software you’ll use, and a rough timeline to reach the first design review.
