MEP Quantity Takeoff Needed
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I have a full set of 2D AutoCAD drawings and I need an experienced mechanical engineer who can break them down into an accurate Bill of Quantities for the plumbing, fire-fighting and drainage systems. Your work will be on an hourly basis, so I’m looking for someone comfortable sharing live progress, clarifying assumptions as they arise and updating quantities as revisions come in.
You will be reading the layered AutoCAD files, identifying every pipe, fitting, valve, fixture and ancillary component, and then translating those findings into a clear, structured BOQ. I am only interested in the quantity take-off, not installation notes or material specs, so please keep the output focused.
Typical tools you might use are AutoCAD itself for measurement, Excel or Google Sheets for tabulation, and—if you prefer—Bluebeam or similar for quick mark-ups. All take-offs must reference the original drawing number, sheet and coordinate so I can cross-check quickly.
Deliverables
• A spreadsheet (Excel or Sheets) listing item description, count/length, drawing reference and any relevant notes for plumbing, fire-fighting and drainage.
• A PDF mark-up or screenshot set that visually highlights the counted elements, so I can see how you arrived at each figure.
Acceptance criteria
• Quantities reconcile within ±3 % when independently spot-checked.
• Every line item is traceable back to a drawing reference.
• File naming and tab structure are clean and intuitive.
