Licensed Nail Station Source Capture

Job ID: 39952674

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

A licensed mechanical contractor is required to design and build a compact source-capture system for a single nail station in my salon. The system’s sole function is high-efficiency air filtration that pulls vapors directly at the manicure table and exhausts or scrubs them to meet local code. Odor removal and dust collection can remain secondary; the priority is clean, solvent-free air at the client’s breathing zone.

I do not yet have precise measurements, so I’ll rely on your guidance to size the ducting, fan, and housing so everything tucks neatly under or beside a typical manicure desk without compromising ergonomics. Compliance with state cosmetology regulations and any relevant mechanical or building codes must be built in from the start.

Deliverables
• Scaled drawings and full specification sheet
• Bill of materials with filter types, fan model, and housing details
• Installation guide or on-site install (if you travel)
• Maintenance schedule with recommended filter change intervals
• Commissioning report confirming airflow, noise level, and filtration efficiency

Acceptance criteria
• Minimum 50 CFM capture at source with ≤60 dB operational noise
• ≥99 % filtration efficiency for VOC particles down to 0.3 µm
• All components UL-listed (or equivalent) and installed to code
• Final assembly fits the footprint of a standard nail station without obstructing client or technician

Include your professional license details and examples of similar salon or laboratory capture work so I can move quickly to awarding the project.
