Laminar Cabine Upgrade
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am in need of a freelancer to make an upgrade of a Laminar Flow Cabine for a laboratory. The function of this unit is extract particles of dust in the air, when the operator perform manual tests of the product.
The equipment is functional, but need changes to achieve an specific velocity of extraction, keeping the sound level under 50 dB (this is very important)
The system consist in the cabinet itself, 6" piping run with a electric axial fan of 2,2 kW, as shown in attached layout.
Our budget for this project is under $400 and 1 week delivery time. The ideal candidate should have experience with industrial equipment retrofit, CFD Simulation and air conductions (HVAC) . Some specific skills and experience that would be helpful for this project include:
- Performing CFD Simulations (ANSYS, SolidWorks SIM, Inventor etc)
- Understanding of air piping design and HVAC
The main goal is to have a plotting of (velocity of air in extration vs cabinet door inlet area). This is needed for selecting a new access doors. The access front of the unit now is not proper for operation.
The main deliverables must be:
- Simulation of air velocity in the whole system, with some scenario evaluation (changes in the speed of the fan)
- A plotting of (velocity of air in piping run vs cabinet door inlet area)
We havent additional data of the fan, only the power.
The model in 3D Autocad of the system is available.
