Taking a lead role in enriching technical aspects of hydraulics design and development throughout the product development life cycle in the area of hydraulic system to meet performance, reliability, quality and cost objectives of the program.
Sizing and selection of hydraulic components like pump, control valve, motor, cylinders, hydraulic power lift and filter from different hydraulic sources to arrive at detail technical specifications.
Ensuring timely permanent solutions for Hydraulic design deficiencies that get surfaced during the product verification phase, by deploying scientific methodologies to analyze failures and fixing it
Proactive role in optimizing performance, reliability and cost targets through systematic reviews with concerned CFT and global team
Perform design calculations like neutral pressure drop, hydraulic power losses, hydraulic power and torque requirements, Lifting capacity of hydraulic power lift. Prepare vehicle level hydraulic schematics in Automation Studio software. Perform components mounting brackets structural integrity analysis in Pro-mechanica module.
Packaging of hydraulic components into vehicle layout, conduct DMU, Design Reviews and DFMEA with cross functional teams, Manage Engineering BOM and release drawings.
Apply GDT on drawings and make tolerance stack up calculations to ensure first time right design.
Ensuring 100% compliance to standards while releasing drawings
Competency building of team by understanding the training requirement, and bridge the gap through outsourcing, training and on job exposure.
Communicates with conviction backed by data and analysis and capable of influencing CFT members
Ensure design release timing, quality of design release and assigned RD expenses and budget
Manage complete design release process in TC / EC for prototype and production
Provide inputs to Platform on new products and Current products.
Develop Engineering design project plan along with milestones to synchronize with main project plan for the product; Review sub-module detailed plans and suggest modifications as required
Work with cross functional team to gather inputs and ensure that design is workable as per KPI
Contributing in individual capacity with minimum supervision
Guiding and supporting less experienced team members
