HVAC Engineering Calculations for Fan
Budget: $30 – $250 NZD
I'm looking for a mechanical (HVAC) engineer to perform calculations to ascertain the energy usage of a fan for me.
Our company manufactures ventilation louvres that are used as the facade terminal of intake and exhaust mechanical ventilation systems. I would like to have calculations done that illustrate the additional energy that a fan consumes when a louvre is used that is has a higher pressure loss than another louvre.
There are many different types of fans available, so generic fan data can be used.
The answers I am looking for is as follows:
- How much energy would a typical fan use to move 4 m3/s of air through a 1.5m x 1.5m louvre that has a pressure loss of 15 Pa?
- How much extra energy would the same fan use to move the same amount of air through the same size louvre if the pressure loss was 30 Pa?
- How much extra energy would the same fan use to move the same amount of air through the same size louvre if the pressure loss was 50 Pa?
