CO2 Flow System – Guidance on Differential Pressure Sensor and Tubing Setup
Budget: $100 – $300 USD
I’m looking for an engineer experienced with small pneumatic or CO2 flow systems to provide guidance on setting up a differential pressure–based flow measurement circuit.
The setup includes a CO2 tank with a regulator, solenoid valve, differential pressure sensor (XGZP6899A series), and tubing. The goal is to measure flow rates up to around 15 SLPM by using pressure taps across a small restriction in the main line.
I’ll be assembling everything myself and handling the Arduino coding. I mainly need help determining:
Appropriate tubing and fittings for CO2 at low pressure
How to add proper high and low pressure taps around a restriction
The best restriction size/type for a measurable pressure drop in the target flow range
Recommended components or parts list for reliable operation
Skills Required:
Mechatronics or mechanical engineering (pneumatic systems)
Experience with differential pressure flow measurement
Familiarity with small-scale CO2 or gas flow setups
Basic understanding of sensor integration and calibration
Deliverables:
Design guidance and annotated diagram or sketch
Recommended restriction or flow element type and sizing
List of suggested tubing, fittings, and components
Experience Level:
Intermediate to advanced engineer with hands-on experience in gas or pneumatic flow systems.
If you communicate to me with AI I will remove your bid immediately. I want to know what you know, not what AI knows.
