Floor Mounted Steel Beam Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I'm seeking a structural engineer to design a floor-mounted beam based on the provided sketch with a length of 3.8 meters.
Key Project Details:
- The beams will be arranged in pairs, with each pair supporting up to 2 steel coils, totaling 58 tons of material.
- The base plate should be a 32 mm thick steel plate.
- All designs must be simulated in ANSYS to ensure suitability and safety.
- The freelancer is responsible for supplying manufacturing drawings of the beam, along with a Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Specify the required dimensions and cross-sectional profile of the beams.
- Include detailed calculations of the loads and stresses on the beams.
Material Requirements:
- The beams will be made from steel, specifically MS plates.
- There are no specific preferences for the finish or coating - the beams will be 'unfinished'.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in structural engineering and beam design.
- Proficient in using ANSYS for structural simulation.
- Experience in creating manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge in working with steel, specifically MS plates.
The beams will be attached to the floor using welded connections.
