FEM Analysis of PC2807 Housing

Job ID: 38968895

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I'm seeking an experienced engineer to perform a Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis on a plastic part, specifically a housing made from the material PC2807. This analysis will help determine the stress and deformation of the housing when two screws are tightened to a torque of 2Nm.

Key Aspects of the Project:
- You'll need to calculate the maximum torque that can be applied by the screws without causing failure or excessive deformation of the housing.
- The boundary conditions to consider for the FEM analysis include the handlebar and brake being fixed, while the housing is free to deform.
- You will have access to both the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio as well as the stress-strain curve for the PC2807 material.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in FEM analysis, particularly with plastic components.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, especially in relation to stress and torque.
- Experience working with the material PC2807 would be a plus.
