FEA for 3D Space Truss Small aircraft fuselage weldment
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
I have a mesh-able 3d model of a common proven design of the aft portion of a small aircraft fuselage.
With a static load at one point, independently in +/- Y axis as well as torsional, The first milestone is to
run FEA, Establish Yield point, determine forces in yielding members as well as forces in members within 90% of yield. Determine deflection at a % of yield independently in the three directions.
with sufficient usable date from milestone 1. There will be new milestones iterating a new design that is lighter, more manufacturable, and with some different features, I am the designer, I will generate the mesh-able models for each iteration that will be compared to the baseline from milestone 1.
Key Requirements:
- A comprehensive FEA report including stress, strain, and displacement results.
- Analysis should account for material properties and loading conditions.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong background in structural engineering.
- Experience with steel structures and static load analysis.
Please provide samples of similar work done. This is meant to be a longer term relationship working through the development cycle. The hope is that you can evaluate the overall goal and help focus on that rather than just the bare minimum milestone. (as did the first try)
