FEA analysis of a carbon fiber mountain bike
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I am looking for a skilled engineer to conduct a FEA analysis on my carbon fiber mountain bike 3D design. The main purpose of the analysis is to identify potential failure points in the bike's frame, with a focus on static/dynamic loads. The ideal candidate should have experience in FEA analysis and be familiar with carbon fiber materials. The following skills and experience are required:
- Expertise in FEA analysis
- Knowledge of carbon fiber materials
- Experience in identifying potential failure points
- Familiarity with static/dynamic loads and their impact on bikes
The project will involve analyzing the bike's frame, with attention given to the areas that are most likely to experience stress and damage. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting the analysis, providing recommendations for improvements, and producing a report detailing their findings.
Note the bike needs to be ASTM 5 compliant so loads need to be simulated with those standards in mind.
Budget needs to be estimated properly but we are taking micro steps, there is opportunity to work with our company long term.
