Drilling & Completion Engineering Support
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I’m assembling a complex oil-and-gas project team and need a contract engineer whose core experience is in drilling and completion. The assignment centres on three tightly connected tasks: creating fit-for-purpose well designs, guiding day-to-day drilling operations, and finalising the well completion strategy so that hand-over to production is seamless.
You’ll be interpreting subsurface data in Petrel, tracking performance and risks in WellView, and translating both into practical engineering documents and real-time decisions for the rig. Depth-by-depth casing design, mud programmes, BHA selections, completion equipment specification—everything has to tie back to safety, cost efficiency, and reservoir objectives.
Key deliverables I’ll look for:
• A complete well design package (schematics, drilling programme, risk register)
• Daily drilling operations reports generated in WellView with trend analysis and recommendations
• A final completion dossier covering equipment selection, procedures, and lessons learned
If you have a track record of integrating Petrel models with on-site drilling data and can slot straight into a multi-disciplinary team, I’m ready to move quickly. Let’s discuss your availability and how you’d approach the first well.
