We are seeking a seasoned Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with 20+ years of hands-on experience in diesel generator systems to assist in the preparation of comprehensive technical specifications for upcoming generator procurement and installation projects.
The selected freelancer will be responsible for preparing detailed specifications for diesel gensets ranging from 50 kVA to 2,000 kVA, covering critical application areas such as industrial facilities, hospitals, utilities, and commercial complexes.
Key Deliverables:
Complete technical specifications (English) including:
Power rating and load profile considerations
Engine and alternator parameters (ISO/IEC compliant)
Fuel system and efficiency requirements
Cooling, ventilation, and noise control features
Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and control systems
Compliance with local and international standards (ISO, IEC, NFPA, etc.)
Emission norms and environmental considerations
Installation, operation, and maintenance requirements
Bill of Materials (BoM) and Technical Datasheet templates
Suggestions for suitable manufacturers/vendors (optional)
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 20 years of experience in design, installation, or specification of diesel generator sets
Background in power plants, utilities, EPC projects, or industrial applications
Strong knowledge of diesel engine performance parameters, alternators, and integration with SCADA or remote monitoring systems
Familiarity with NFPA 110, ISO 8528, IEC 60034, and similar standards
Ability to deliver clear, professional documentation
Engineering degree or equivalent background required
