Design of Heating System for Hydraulic Hot Press
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
The task is to design a heating element for a hydraulic hot press. There are 3 conditions mainly. One is it should be able to heat the platens of the press between 20 and 250 degrees C with +- 5 degrees. Another is it should heat the platen from 20 to 200 degrees in 10 minutes and 20 to 250 degrees in 20 minutes. The last is that the platen dimensions should be 450×450×20 mm.
I have designed a rough 3D model for the same. I also have a reference paper which has all the required formulas for the designing. But it requires simulation in ansys. Could you please look into that and with that could you find the relevant dimensions for the design, say length, diameter, etc of the resistive coil?
I have attached the pdf of the rough design i modelled, and the reference paper for the same. i can send you the solidworks file too if required.
Feel free to change the design of the heating element. You can choose a suitable material for the heating element.
