Design and Development of an Electro-Pneumatic Valve for RFC Machine
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
Project Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer or Designer with a strong background in mechanical design and a deep understanding of counter-pressure filling systems. The successful candidate will be tasked with designing an electro-pneumatic valve that can be retrofitted to an existing RFC machine, which is used in the carbonation beverage filling.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in mechanical design, with a portfolio that includes filling machine components.
2. Solid understanding of counter-pressure filling methods and their application.
3. Ability to source materials and components and create a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM).
Deliverables:
1. Complete design plans for an electro-pneumatic valve compatible with the existing RFC machine.
2. A comprehensive list of materials and components, including potential vendors and specifications.
3. A detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for the valve construction.
Project Goals:
The primary objective is to design a valve that enhances the efficiency, consistency, and safety of the filling process, particularly by improving the bottle filling level, integrating control through a PLC, and reducing foaming issues.
Additional Information:
The valve must be designed with consideration for the existing machinery, ensuring that it integrates smoothly without the need for extensive modifications. The new design should improve the accuracy of the fill level and reduce foaming, allowing for better control and operation of the machine.
Application Instructions:
Interested candidates should:
1. Submit examples of previous mechanical design projects, with a focus on filling machine components.
2. Explain their understanding of counter-pressure filling and how it applies to this project.
3. Provide an estimated timeline for the design and development process.
4. List any relevant certifications or qualifications.

Additional Considerations:
The design should accommodate the possibility of controlling the vent tube's vertical position. Applicants should also consider how the system will detect the fill level in relation to the vent tube.
Questions to Address:
What mechanisms are typically used to sense the drink reaching the fill level or touching the vent tube?
Design Challenges:
Candidates should be prepared to address the following:
1. Ensuring precise bottle fill levels and the ability to adjust these through a PLC.
2. Managing foaming to prevent spillage and wastage.
3. Selecting the appropriate channel size for all valves involved in the process.
4. Determining the optimal size for the CO2 vent channel.
Response Submission:
Please submit your proposals, including all requested information and documentation. We look forward to working with a dedicated professional who can help us achieve our project goals.
