Cost-effective Oil-Resistant Spur Gear
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a grease and oil-resistant spur gear that can withstand temperatures up to 200°F. This gear is a replacement for the Maximat/Emco V7 lathe. the gear will function like the #80 gear in the photo, but will be a #70. There is no need for the number to be cut/printed into the new gar, and the gear can have flush sides on both sides. looking for function in this prototype, not matching the factory gear exactly. I only need one of these to check for function, then i will look for one in metal.
Specifications:
- Spur gear
- Module: 1
- Teeth: 70
- OD: 72mm
- Face width: 8mm
- Bore: 14mm diameter, centered
- Keyway: 4mm wide × 1mm deep
- Press angle: 20°
- Material: PETG or Nylon (PA12 preferred)
Ideal Skills & Experience:
- 3D printing in polymers and metal
- CNC machining
- Experience with durable, cost-effective gear manufacturing
- Familiarity with PETG and Nylon materials
- Precision in machining and fabrication
Looking for cost-effective solutions without compromising on necessary specs (Oil resistant).
