Conceptual Design for Rotary Drill Head
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I'm in need of a mechanical engineer skilled in industrial equipment design, specifically for a multi speed rotary drill head. The project is at the conceptual design phase, so your creativity and expertise in product design will be key in developing innovative solutions. The rotary drill head needs to be 4 speeds capable of 3,000 - 5,000 ft lbs of rotary torque in first gear. Needs to withstand 19,600 lbs of retract force and 13,650 lbs of down pressure. The output needs to be hollow, and capable of accepting a water swivel on top and a flange on bottom for mounting various drill attachments that I’ll design. Dimensions. I have a max width of 22” max length of 24” height is to be determined by you
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles
- Experience in industrial equipment design
- Creative thinking for conceptual design
- Strong communication skills for collaboration
- Familiarity with gear boxes
Experience:
- Successful projects in the conceptual design phase
- Relevant mechanical engineering degree or equivalent experience
Your role will involve generating and refining design concepts, with the potential for future work in the detailed engineering design, prototyping and testing phases.
