Comprehensive MEP Consultancy for Residential Design
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
Summary
I need a complete MEP design package my trades can build from directly and that I can order all materials from. This is an engineering brief, not a drafting brief. I have supplied my architectural drawings. This project is limited to the basement and tha garage of this plan. c. 1,500 sq ft.
The basement has six rooms: gym, bedroom, bathroom, utility, living room and playroom.
Scope:
1. Coordinated drawings for electrical, plumbing and MVHR, plus a combined services drawing and sections, clash-checked against my architectural and structural drawings
2. Electrical: circuit and board schedules, cable sizing, earthing and bonding, load calculation against the existing supply, full lighting and socket layout
3. Plumbing: hot and cold design with pipe sizing, flow and pressure calculations, below-ground drainage, and a sump or macerator recommendation (the basement sits below the sewer)
4. MVHR: duct sizing, room-by-room airflow, Part F calculations, unit location and commissioning schedule
5. Wet underfloor heating connecting to an existing manifold, with room-by-room heat loss calculations
6. Component schedules with manufacturer, model and quantity for every item, so I can order directly
7. Coordination of service penetrations against the waterproofing design (coordination only, not the waterproofing design itself)
8. Deliverables in DWG and PDF.
Requirements:
Must be designed to UK Building Regulations and British Standards: Part F, Part P and BS 7671, BS EN 12831 and BS 8102. Please do not apply if you are an AutoCAD or drafting-only service. I need real engineering calculations, not layout drawings.
Your proposal must include:
1. Confirmation you can design to UK Building Regulations, and which standards you work to regularly
2. A redacted sample calculation and schedule package from a previous UK project
3. Your engineering qualification, and who runs the calculations if it is a team. CIBSE, IET, CEng or IEng preferred
