Looking for a mechanical/automation engineer to design a **compact (max 2 ft × 2 ft × 2 ft) fully automated servo-driven multi-station indexing machine concept for precision shotshell assembly in a controlled industrial environment**. The system is intended to automate the **progressive assembly of 12-gauge shotshells**, where each shell moves through a series of synchronized, servo-controlled stations with full sensor feedback and quality verification.
**Process stages include:** (1) hull feeding and preparation (depriming/resizing and primer seating), (2) precision metered powder charging, (3) wad insertion with controlled depth seating, (4) shot/pellet filling with flow-controlled dosing, (5) pre-crimp forming, (6) final crimp and closure, and (7) finished shell ejection/output handling. Each stage is performed at an independent servo press station, coordinated via a motorized indexing conveyor and central PLC/motion control system.
Design must emphasize high precision, repeatability, compact integration, modular maintenance, and a fully enclosed safety-rated industrial architecture.
