Calculate strength of steel trailer design
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I am looking for a skilled engineer to help me calculate the strength of a steel trailer design. The trailer will be made of mild steel and needs to have the capacity to handle heavy loads, 4000-4500kg. The primary use of the trailer will be for a tiny house and it will rarely be towed.
The weight of the tiny house will be spread evenly across trailer. I plan on having 3 rated axles and suspension. The size of the tiny house will be 7.2m x 2.4m. I’ve attached a trailer plan which I want to use but it’s specified 6mm rhs. I’m wanting to know if I can use 3mm rhs instead to handle the weight. I’m located in australia.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Experience in designing and calculating the strength of steel structures
- Knowledge of materials properties and their effect on strength
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations
- Ability to create detailed reports and recommendations for improvements
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
