CFD Study: Shell-Tube Exchanger -- 2

Job ID: 40133045

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

I need a comprehensive CFD analysis on shell-and-tube heat-exchanger tubes that quantifies both thermal behaviour and the resulting mechanical stresses. The work should couple fluid-flow and heat-transfer simulations with structural analysis so I can see temperature fields, pressure drops, and stress/strain distributions in the same report.

Please build the 3-D model of the tube bundle, set realistic boundary conditions for both shell-side and tube-side fluids, and run a mesh-independence study to confirm numerical stability. A coupled simulation in ANSYS Fluent + Static Structural, CFX, or a comparable solver is preferred; feel free to suggest an alternative as long as it can handle conjugate heat transfer (CHT) and solid mechanics in a single workflow.

Deliverables:
• Simulation input files and meshes
• A concise report (PDF) outlining geometry, material data, solver settings, residual plots, validation checks, and final results (temperature contours, velocity fields, pressure drop, von-Mises stress)
• Summary of insights and design recommendations for better thermal efficiency and safer mechanical performance

The project will be considered complete when the shared files run error-free on my workstation and the reported results reproduce within ±3 % of your submitted figures.
