By using Ansys,
Room Information:
• The target room is 5m × 3m × 4m in x, y, z
dimension respectively;
• The inlet and outlet are 0.4m × 0.2m;
• The table is 3m × 0.5m;
• Persons are 0.4m × 0.4m × 1.2m;
• The air flow velocity of inlet is 3m/s;
Mesh Scheme:
• 64 × 30 × 30 (x, y, z)
• 128 × 60 × 60 (x, y, z)
Turbulent Model:
• Model 1: Standard k-ɛ turbulent model
• Model 2: RNG k-ɛ turbulent model
Thermal Conditions:
• Inlet Temperature: Tin=289K,
• Heat loss of Room enclosure: Heat flux=25W/m
2 (Assuming adiabatic ceiling),
• Heat generation of Persons: Heat flux=48W/m
2,
• Outlet Temperature: To=297K
Outputs Required:
• Convergence report for each case, a detailed description for the case of mesh scheme-1 and turbulent model-1;
• Analyse the impact of mesh scheme on numerical outputs for turbulent model-1; report airflow patterns in cross section area, Plane Y=1.2m and Z=2m inside the room;
• Analyse the impact of turbulent model on the numerical outputs for mesh scheme-2
