I am seeking a skilled mechanical engineer who can assist me in creating a bioinspired flapping wing mechanism for research purposes. This project is particularly focused on the design and materials of the mechanism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating a design that emulates the flapping mechanism of a winged creature for biomimetic research
- Selecting materials suitable for withstanding the stress of continuous flapping
- Ensuring the design is realistic for practical experimentation in a lab environment
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a specialization in biomimetic design
- Proficiency in designing mechanisms, especially those involving motion and stress
- Deep understanding of material science to choose the right materials that combine strength, durability, and lightness
- Experience in creating 3D CAD models for complex mechanisms
The ideal candidate for this project should be able to work closely with me to translate the concepts of the flapping mechanism into a realistic and functional design. The final deliverable would be a set of detailed 3D CAD models that can be used for prototyping and further research.
