We are looking for an engineer/freelancer with both mechanical and electronics design expertise to develop a motorcycle-mounted smart control module.
Scope of Work
Mechanical Design
- Design a compact and rugged enclosure suitable for motorcycle use.
- Design must be suitable for plastic injection molding and future mass production.
- Incorporate weather-resistant features and provisions for mounting and cable routing.
Electronics Design
- Design a custom PCB based on the functional requirements provided.
- Use standard, globally available off-the-shelf components.
- Optimize for reliability, manufacturability, and compact packaging.
Deliverables
- Production-ready CAD files (STEP and other manufacturing formats as required).
- Injection molding-ready enclosure design.
- Schematic files, PCB layout files, and Gerber files.
- Complete BOM in Excel with manufacturer part numbers and globally available components.
- Two fully functional working prototypes.
- All source files and manufacturing documentation.
Requirements
- Suitable for outdoor motorcycle environments.
- Designed to withstand vibration, dust, and rain exposure.
- Suitable for future large-scale manufacturing.
- All intellectual property and design files to be transferred upon project completion.
