Motor Selection/Design + Collapsible Fan Design (SolidWorks)
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Description:
I need either a custom motor design or an existing motor recommendation (preferably outrunner-style) that meets these constraints:
• Central shaft/hub is fixed (does NOT rotate).
• Outer frame / rotor rotates around that fixed shaft.
• Fan assembly attaches to the rotating outer frame. Shaft/hub passes through the motor and may extend to both sides.
Scope / Deliverables:
1. Recommendation: custom motor design or existing motor (part number & datasheet).
2. CAD: SolidWorks assembly of the motor (selected) + fan (attachment to the outrunner must be custom).
3. Fan design: collapsible blades adjustable from 15° to 90°, with a collapse-control mechanism (mechanical or electrical) and linkage to the shaft/hub.
4. Basic drawings & BOM (dimensions, RPM range, torque estimate, power).
5. Feasibility & manufacturing guidance (tolerances, bearings, fastening, sealing).
6. Native CAD files (SolidWorks), export STEP/IGES, and PDF drawings.
Skills required: Motor/BLDC/outrunner experience, mechanical design, SolidWorks, CAD assemblies, mechanism design, prototyping/manufacturing knowledge.
Budget & timeline: Provide fixed price quote and estimated delivery milestones in your proposal.
