Long-Term Mechanical Design Partner

Over the next months I will be pushing several components and assemblies from concept through to production and need mechanical design support on a consistent, project-by-project basis. Typical jobs range from refining early sketches to supplying fully dimensioned 2D drawings and export-ready 3D models that slot straight into our manufacturing workflow.

Core work
• Turn functional requirements and rough layouts into robust CAD models
• Produce clear, tolerance-defined drawings ready for CNC, injection moulding or sheet-metal fabrication
• Optimise designs for cost-effective manufacture while safeguarding strength, fit and finish

File formats & tools
I routinely exchange STEP, IGES and native files, so fluency in any mainstream package—AutoCAD, SolidWorks or CATIA—is fine as long as deliverables open cleanly on my end.

Collaboration & hand-off
Each assignment will come with a short brief, target specs and timeline. We will review early geometry, confirm critical dimensions, then move to detailed drawings; milestones will be signed off once the files import without errors and meet the agreed tolerances.
