Project Description:I am looking for a SolidWorks designer to develop a custom Punch and Die set for a specific sheet metal bracket. Instead of a solid machined block, the tooling must be designed using the laminated plate method (stacked and bolted 5mm Mild Steel plates) to facilitate easy laser-cut manufacturing.
Technical Specifications:Part to Form: 2mm thick Mild Steel (MS) bracket.Blank Size: 104 mm 130mm.Tooling Material: 5mm thick Mild Steel (MS) plates, laminated.Design Requirements:Punch and Die must be split into 5mm thick "slices."Include high-precision holes for alignment dowels and assembly bolts.Account for a 2.1mm – 2.2mm clearance between punch and die to accommodate material flow.Incorporate lead-in radii on the die to prevent marking/tearing of the 2mm sheet.Software: SolidWorks (Required).Deliverables: * .sldprt (Individual plate and master tool files)..sldasm (Complete assembly showing the laminated stack).DXF files for the individual plate profiles (ready for laser cutting).
