Industrial IP Rated Enclosure Designer (Mechanical)

Description:
We are looking for an experienced industrial product designer with hands-on expertise in CAD, mechanical design, and production. The ideal freelancer should be capable of designing and building IP-rated enclosures with mechanical parts. Experience with hazardous area systems is highly preferred.
(Professionals based in India are preferred, due to ease of collaboration and time-zone alignment.)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk CAD/CAM tools and prepare them for manufacturing.
2. Build IP-rated enclosures and mechanical assemblies that are production-ready.
3. Understand and differentiate between various CAD/CAM design formats to ensure seamless compatibility across software and manufacturing processes.
4. Support the selection, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic components.
5.Collaborate with vendors for procurement, logistics, and timely delivery of materials and parts.
6. Assist in prototyping, testing, and quality assurance of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of designs, modifications, and installations, and coordinate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve design or manufacturing challenges.
