Mechanical Design Engineer (Freelance) – BESS Integration
Support the mechanical development and integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in containerized solutions.
Scope of work
Mechanical integration of battery systems, PCS, HVAC interfaces and auxiliary equipment.
Implementation of heating and cooling circuits (pipes, hoses, valves, manifolds). HVAC units themselves are supplier-provided and not part of the design scope.
Layout development considering cable routing, service access, assembly and disassembly requirements.
Design of brackets, supports, mounting structures and mechanical interfaces.
Technical coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure interface compatibility.
Out of scope
ISO container structural design.
HVAC equipment design.
Electrical engineering and software development.
Profile
Experience in mechanical design, plant engineering or energy systems.
Proficient in 3D CAD.
Ability to work independently and manage technical interfaces across multiple suppliers.
