Autonomous Industrial Cleaning Robot Design
Budget: ₹75,000 – ₹150,000 INR
Mechanical Design Engineer – Autonomous Industrial Cleaning Robot
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with good Industrial Design (ID) understanding to help develop the final functional prototype of an autonomous industrial floor-cleaning robot.
The project is already at the prototype stage. We need an engineer who can take the existing design, functional requirements, and hardware and develop a robust, manufacturable, serviceable, and professionally finished final prototype.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete mechanical design and CAD development of the robot.
* Chassis, frame, enclosure/panels, component mounts, brackets, and internal packaging.
* Integration of cleaning mechanisms, tanks, pumps, motors, batteries, electronics, LiDAR, sensors, and related hardware.
* Improve overall Industrial Design, form, proportions, enclosure design, and product aesthetics.
* Design for manufacturability, assembly, maintenance, and serviceability.
* Material and manufacturing process selection, including sheet metal, fabricated parts, plastics/enclosures, and fasteners.
* Prepare detailed CAD assemblies, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and fabrication-ready documentation.
* Support design iterations during prototype fabrication and assembly.
Who We're Looking For
Strong experience in mechanical product development, machine design, robotics, industrial equipment, autonomous vehicles, or similar electromechanical products is preferred.
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, or similar CAD software is required.
We are particularly interested in someone who can combine strong mechanical engineering with practical Industrial Design thinking, balancing functionality, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, cost, and aesthetics.
This is not just a CAD modelling project. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the mechanical/product design and help turn an existing working concept into a well-engineered final prototype suitable for real-world testing and progression toward production.
