It is desired to design a low-pass digital filter according to the requirements of the passband frequency wp, the clipping S1 and the stopband frequency ws, the clipping S2.
1- wp;0.1pi , ws;0.5pi rad/s, S1:0.1,S2:0.05
2-wp;0.2pi , ws;0.4pi rad/s, S1:0.12,S2:0.08
3-wp;0.3pi , ws;0.5pi rad/s, S1:0.12,S2:0.08
a) Show the filter characteristics?
b) Design a linear phase FIR filter with rectangular and Hamming window approaches? Explain step by step the approaches used. Show that the filter coefficients you designed meet the requirements by obtaining the frequency response of the filter.
c-) Obtain digital filter from analog filter by using Butterworth approximations showing the same properties. Digitize with the Tustin approach.
