MPC Simulation for PV Pump

Job ID: 40345486

Budget: $16 – $18 NZD

I need a complete MATLAB/Simulink model that applies Model Predictive Control to a photovoltaic-powered water-pumping system driven by a synchronous reluctance motor. The whole exercise is purely simulation based; no hardware implementation is required at this stage.

Scope
• Build or adapt a detailed PV array, DC-link, inverter and synchronous reluctance motor model inside Simulink.
• Implement an MPC algorithm that supervises the motor drive, regulates the water-flow set-point and keeps DC-link voltage within limits while the irradiance and load vary.
• Track how the strategy affects motor control dynamics, overall power-conversion efficiency and system stability when weather or hydraulic demand changes suddenly.

What I will consider a finished job
1. A Simulink file (R2021a or later) that runs without missing libraries.
2. Well-commented MATLAB scripts/functions that calculate MPC horizons, constraints and cost weights.
3. A brief PDF or Word report (3-5 pages is fine) showing key plots—efficiency curves, speed/flow tracking, THD, and stability margins—with a short explanation of how the controller parameters were tuned.
