I’m working on an inverted-pendulum project that must run entirely in MATLAB, and I want to understand every step rather than just hand the work off. Your role is to walk me through the process while also supplying code and artefacts I can study and reuse.

Here’s where I need the most help:
• Simulation setup – building or refining the MATLAB/Simulink environment so the pendulum dynamics talk cleanly to the Reinforcement Learning Toolbox.
• Training the RL agent – choosing a suitable algorithm (PPO, DDPG or what you recommend), tuning hyper-parameters, and getting the agent to balance reliably.
• Plotting results – reward curves, angle trajectories, control effort and any additional plots you feel strengthen the analysis.

Deliverables I expect at the end of our collaboration:
• Well-commented MATLAB scripts or Simulink models for the environment and the trained agent.
• Saved figures and code for regenerating all plots.
• A concise PowerPoint template and short report outline that pull the key visuals and explanations together.
• A brief hand-off session or recorded walk-through so I’m comfortable presenting and modifying the work.
