MATLAB AI Conveyor Sorting Simulation

Job ID: 39916365

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I want to model an AI-driven conveyor belt that automatically sorts incoming items by size inside MATLAB/Simulink. The virtual line should detect each object, decide whether it meets preset dimensional thresholds, and trigger a basic pick-and-place robot arm to move the item to the correct bin.

Key points I have in mind:
• MATLAB/Simulink must be the core environment, using its Robotics System Toolbox and Computer Vision Toolbox (or equivalent code) so I can later tweak parameters myself.
• Size-based classification is the only rule for now; colour, weight or other attributes are out of scope.
• The robotic arm needs only fundamental pick-and-place behaviour—no complex re-orientation or assembly logic—yet its kinematics and motion planning should be realistically simulated.
• Visualise the entire flow: objects spawning onto the belt, sensors or a camera measuring them, AI logic making the decision, and the arm transferring them to separate chutes.

Deliverables I need from you:
1. MATLAB/Simulink project files with well-commented code.
2. A short video or GIF of the simulation running end-to-end.
3. Setup/read-me guide so I can reproduce results on my machine.

I’ll handle further optimisation once I see a working model, so focus on clarity and modularity rather than production-level speed. If you have relevant demos or past work, please mention them in your proposal so I can gauge fit quickly.
