Formula Student Suspension Simulation

I need a working Simscape Multibody model of my Formula Student car’s suspension so I can back-up the design decisions already made on anti-dive, anti-squat and spring stiffness. The chassis comes in as a SolidWorks STEP file, solidowrks files can also be provided for the suspension geometry as a reference to work off, or to use as an import if that works better. I was trying to model the wishbones in simscape as simple cylindrical solids with spherical joints, but I keep running into coordinate-alignment issues when closing the wishbone loops with rigid transforms. I’m after a practical solution rather than an academic masterpiece—something that runs, produces clear plots and lets me tweak geometry or spring rates and immediately see the kinematic effects.

Core behaviours to evaluate are anti-dive angles, anti-squat angles and spring stiffness influence. Steering analysis would be a bonus if it can be added without blowing up the scope; I’m happy either way.

I picture you importing or rebuilding the geometry inside MATLAB/Simulink, setting up proper joint definitions and reference frames, and giving me a clean parameter set so I can dial in numbers for ride height changes, anti-geometry percentages, etc. Please deliver the finished Simulink file (2024b preferred), brief notes on how to edit key parameters, and a few example plots—wheel travel, roll centre shifts, wishbone movement under different squat and dive angles and any additional steering outputs if included. As long as the model converges, outputs those plots, and the joints stay true to the actual pick-up points, I’ll call it a success.
