DEM-Based Granular Seepage Flow Expert

Job ID: 40338392

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

We need a technical simulation expert for a research project related to DEM-based granular seepage flow in porous media.

Important:
We do NOT need PPT, report writing, paper writing, or presentation support.
We already have a team for that.
We only need the technical person for the simulation work.

Project scope:

- review existing simulation files and outputs
- understand the current setup and model
- run the existing simulation or modify it if needed
- vary key parameters such as friction coefficient (Mu) and possibly porosity
- generate and deliver clean output data/results

Required expertise:

- DEM (Discrete Element Method)
- granular flow / particle simulation
- porous media / seepage flow
- parameter variation and simulation runs
- output data extraction and result handling

Preferred tools/background:

- MechSys
- LIGGGHTS
- CFDEM / OpenFOAM
- MATLAB or Python for post-processing
- HDF5 / XMF / ParaView / VisIt

Deliverables:

- simulation runs
- raw output files
- processed result data
- CSV / Excel / plots
- short technical note on what was run, what was changed, and what results were obtained

This is not a general CFD job.
This is not a writing or slide-making job.
Please apply only if you have direct hands-on experience with DEM / granular / porous media simulations.

When applying, please answer:

1. What similar DEM / granular / porous media projects have you done?
2. Which software/tools have you used?
3. Can you work from existing simulation files instead of starting from scratch?
4. Can you independently run cases and deliver clean result data?
