I am looking for a digital twin system for my warehouse to create a virtual environment of the physical warehouse. I want the software to address the complexities of product slotting and layout by utilizing advanced mathematical algorithms which consider a product’s dimensions, weight and velocity, physical characteristics of the environment including slot configurations, pick path and material handling equipment, and operational goals like pallet building, seasonality requirements and retail groupings. Therefore as a result of implementing advanced slotting technology, I want my operations to benefit from reduced labor expenses, improved order fulfillment cycle time, a reduction in partial order shipments, and improved space utilization. I also want the system to perform multiple “what-if” slotting scenarios to change the layout and configuration of the warehouse. And finally, be able to compare operational goal achievement and financial return for each scenario. After comparing the results, I can then select the optimal slot strategy to execute. I already have a 3D rendering of the warehouse in Archicad which can be used for the Digital Twin model. A bit more about my company. We currently distribute fmcg goods to over 15,000 retailers in the country from 5 fulfilment locations using 150 trucks. We move product in large bulk quantities to our customers and own all the trucks and warehouse operations. Thanks.
