The goals of this project are to create a mathematical model for passive and active suspension systems for a quarter vehicle model and to use a PID controller to build an active suspension control for a quarter car model.
Modeling of Systems
In this project, the vehicle model studied is a quarter car model. Figure 1 shows the quarter vehicle model suspension system, which comprises of one-fourth of the body mass, suspension components, and one wheel.
