Programmer to modify code for Arduino to Matlab communication

I have written code to transfer some particular BLE data from Arduinos to laptop via cables (serial) and now need it modified to transfer data via ethernet cables instead.

I also have code to receive data in Matlab (in serial) as callback handler functions which will need to be modified to receive via ethernet.

The modifications on both sides is for changing the communication from serial to ethernet only and needs to fit within the flow of the rest of the program on the Arduino as well as in Matlab.
