Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Using Matlab with Simulink, simulate a Boost converter in switching mode that steps up voltage to a load that expects steady 10 V across it for a range of input voltage between 6 to 8 Volts. The converter measures the output voltage to control the duty ratio of the switch in order to meet the constant 10-V output under CCM. You are free to choose the output wattage as you see fit. You are to submit the following:
A brief report detailing the project objective, abstract, software used, challenges faced, and conclusion
The original schematic of the simulation file and/or code written
The following scope readings:
The PWM waveform at two different loading conditions
The inductor current waveform at the same loading conditions from A
The output voltage waveform showing a voltage ripple of 0.4 V or better
The control technique used
