Need Expert in Heat Transfer & MATLAB
Budget: £10 – £50 GBP
I'm seeking a freelancer with expertise in heat transfer, numerical methods (particularly finite difference methods), and MATLAB for a technical assignment. The project involves constructing a G–V process map to differentiate between stable (planar/cellular) and unstable (dendritic) solid/liquid interface growth during directional solidification using alloys.
Key tasks include:
- Solving the 1D heat equation for both solid and liquid phases to calculate the solid/liquid interface velocity.
- Using this velocity to solve the solute diffusion equation in a moving frame to ascertain the solute boundary layer thickness.
- Determining stability conditions using specified analytical criteria.
- Constructing and plotting the G–V and G–V–δc process maps to identify stability domains.
Deliverables:
I need the MATLAB code, the generated plots, and a concise explanation of the approach and results.
This project would ideally suit someone with a solid background in material science, particularly with alloys, and extensive experience with MATLAB.
