MILP Based Optimal Microgrid Design Using MATLAB

The application of mathematical programming and optimization approach in the planning of a microgrid which consists of diesel generators, wind turbines, solar arrays and storage. The design aims at answering two questions:
1. What is the optimum capacities, quantities and combination of microgrid components which will ensure reliable and continuous supply of its demand at minimum cost?
2. How can the above be fulfilled taking into account uncertainties in renewable resources and electric demand?
